Mt. Gilead Methodist Church is a welcoming, Christ-centered community rooted in Sharpsburg, Georgia, with a mission to live out the love of Jesus through worship, fellowship, and service. After separating from the United Methodist Church, Mt. Gilead began a new chapter—focused on building a strong, faithful foundation under the Global Methodist Church while continuing to serve both longtime members and new visitors with purpose and clarity.
With this new beginning came the need for a fresh digital presence. Mt. Gilead needed a custom website that not only reflected their identity and values, but also served as an accessible hub for church members and first-time guests. That’s where I stepped in—to design a clean, functional site that communicated their mission, made resources easy to find, and helped them connect with their growing community.
The challenge was creating a brand-new website from the ground up that clearly communicated Mt. Gilead’s new identity—without overwhelming visitors. They needed a space that was informative for members, inviting for guests, and easy to update moving forward. With no existing content structure or design framework in place, it was important to build something that felt both modern and grounded in tradition.

Going into it, my focus was on clarity, warmth, and usability. I wanted the site to feel like an extension of the church itself—welcoming, easy to navigate, and rooted in purpose. That meant prioritizing key info for members (like service times and events) while making sure visitors could quickly understand who Mt. Gilead is and how to get connected.
To bring Mt. Gilead’s new digital home to life, I followed a strategy that blended thoughtful design with functionality. The goal was to create a site that not only looked good but served the church’s real-world needs—making it easy for members to stay informed and for newcomers to feel welcomed.
I mapped out a clear layout with key pages for getting connected and info about the church—ensuring everything important was easy to find with just a few clicks.
